This method created precisely by D’Alembert not a very convenient method because it is not so simple could continue to play after several missed shots especially for the increasingly high amount of money to bet, but for the record, I’ll present it anyway.

The D’Alembert method is to increase the bet by one unit after each shot missed and reduced by one unit after each shot won.

Used for the simple chance when you have the alternative of only two events (thus for example red and black).
The objective of this progression is the achievement of balance between the two chances. Once you have there is a winning half-unit for every hit game (or a piece every two strokes played). This account is not taken into account zero, whose output, especially at a high point, can produce disastrous effects.

The major failing of D’Alembert is that it is successful only if the balance is reached from a series of negative shocks. See example below:

The two chance after eight rounds have reached equilibrium, the game on Black has produced 4 pieces of winning (8 divided by 2) as the game has produced on red 2 piece of the past.

The progression is classic D’Alembert also played with the double chance (dozens and columns). Since the payout is two pieces the bet, the game mechanics becomes the following: to increase the bet by one unit after two missed shots and decrease by one stroke after a win.

There are numerous variations and multiple applications, it is still one of the most famous and also among the most dangerous.
